Something for everyone

Our network of charity shops continues to grow around the country. We are always grateful for your donations which help support those in need.

UK rubbish bins are filled with over 1 million tonnes of textiles each year.

Shops

Salvation Army Trading Company Ltd operates a chain of more than 130 charity shops throughout the UK, with further openings planned across England and Scotland in the future.

Our shops sell mainly second hand goods donated by the public.  When visiting them you will find bargains and collectables plus an eclectic mix of fashions, bric a brac and other household items. From retro fashion to CDs and DVDs, bestseller books to computer games, there’s a bargain in store for everyone as well as the opportunity to save some money and support a worthwhile cause, as profit from our shops is gift-aided to The Salvation Army.

On 30 September 2010 we opened our 100th shop in New Malden, Surrey. A film crew was on hand to capture the action, which included a brass band and speech from Commissioner John Matear, leader of The Salvation Army in the UK and Ireland. For a glimpse of our landmark 100th shop, click here.
