Every year The Salvation Army serves over 3,000,000 meals, reunites over 3,000 people through its Family Tracing Service and offers assistance to homeless men, women and families in 57 residential and resettlement centres, helping many people to move from homelessness into independent living. The Salvation Army's work includes 6 family centres and one community home for children, assistance for the emergency services at hundreds of incidents a year, and care for older people in 17 residential centres. In addition, at more than 700 church and community centres across the UK and Ireland The Salvation Army offer spiritual, social and very practical support to all, without discrimination, including the marginalised, disadvantaged, older people and families in the local area.
